Welcome!
You deserve to feel happy and fulfilled.
As a therapist, I am committed to helping you get there.
Clients often comment that a key part of why they feel better is that they feel more hope. They have turned their lives around.
This is possible for anyone in this situation.
Therapy research consistently demonstrates that the therapeutic relationship is central to successful psychotherapy. I build a strong rapport with my clients and through authenticity and transparency, they know that I care and they trust that I will help them get to where they need to go.
Get the help you deserve and turn your life around.
It is only through taking action to alleviate your pain that you can get yourself on the road to feeling better.
If you are ready to feel better in your life, take the next step. . .
Thank you for opening your heart to consider me as your new therapist.
Psychotherapy has come a long way in the last 30 years. Now it is possible for people to work through thought patterns that hold them back more quickly than folks could have possibly imagined 30 years ago. I use great tools including somatic imagery, EMDR, and cognitive therapy to help change your inner landscape from a jumbled mess to one that is more organized. Think of it as an organizer for your soul.
Here’s what we do:
If you are in grief, we examine the thoughts that cause you unnecessary pain so that you can move forward with loving positive memories of the person you loved.
If you are gambling, you help me identify the childhood hurts that are pushing on your beliefs making it necessary to fill your life with false hopes. When we work on this, I have seen great results in just a couple of sessions. Then we take our short term gains and turn them into longer ones.
Would you like to stop smoking? Some of the same techniques that we use for behavior addictions like gambling and overspending are easily applied to helping people have an easier time quitting. I’ve seen temporary gains turn into long term cessation of smoking. These are some of the things I work on with you.
If, after you have worked through the addiction trauma and grief, and you wish to stay to discover the extraordinary person you truly are, I’d be delighted to assist you on that path.
We can continue to look inside, upgrade and “redecorate your inner landscape” making a world of difference in how you think, feel and behave.
We can do this together.
With deep respect and gratitude,
Jennifer Duke
